Privacy Policy
**Last Updated: October 6, 2026**
## 1. Introduction
DiscoverAPP ("DiscoverAPP", "we", "us" or "our") designs and develops apps for phones, tablets, computers, TVs and the web. We believe your recordings, notes, playlists, media and personal information belong to you. Our apps are built to keep as much as possible on your own device, and to collect only what is needed to provide and support them.
This Privacy Policy explains what information our apps handle, how it is used, when it is shared, and the choices and rights you have. Please read it together with the Terms of Use of the app you are using.
## 2. Scope
This Policy applies to all apps, websites and services published by DiscoverAPP (together, the "Apps"), on every platform and store where they are offered, including the Apple App Store, Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, Samsung and LG TV app stores, and the web. This includes, among others:
- **Productivity and AI apps**, such as **NoteMind** (macOS).
- **IPTV and media player apps**, such as **IPTV Smart Pro**, **IPTV Smart Player**, **IPTV Smarter Stream**, **Smart IPTV Stream**, **Nova Player** and **Nova Video Player**, on their mobile, desktop, TV and web versions.
- **Casting apps**, such as **Cast to TV** (iOS and macOS).
- Our website, **https://www.discoverapp.store**.
Section 6 describes the practices that are specific to each type of App. If an App's own in-app privacy notice or its App Store privacy label describes something more specific, that description applies to that App in addition to this Policy.
## 3. Our Principles
- **Local first.** Wherever possible, your content and settings are stored and processed on your own device.
- **No selling of data.** We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- **No cross-app tracking.** We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- **No content mining.** We do not read, analyze or use your recordings, transcripts, notes, playlists or viewing history to build profiles or to train AI models.
- **Your choice.** Optional features that involve a third party, such as iCloud sync or contacting support, are only used when you turn them on or use them.
## 4. Information We Collect
### 4.1 Information you provide
- **Support requests.** When you contact us by email or through in-app support, we receive your message, any attachments you choose to send, and your email address if you provide it.
- **Content you add to an App.** This includes recordings, notes, playlists, server addresses, account credentials for your own media services, favorites and settings. Unless stated otherwise in Section 6, this content stays on your device and is not sent to us.
### 4.2 Purchase information
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely by the store you buy from (for example Apple, Google, Amazon or Samsung). **We never receive your payment card or billing details.** The store tells the App which product you bought and whether it is active, so the App can unlock the features you paid for.
Some Apps use **RevenueCat** to validate purchases and manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt and an anonymous app user identifier generated by the App. It does not receive your name, email address or any content from the App.
### 4.3 Technical information
- **App configuration.** Some Apps use **Firebase** (Google) only to load basic app configuration. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are disabled in those Apps, and no personal data, credentials or content are sent to Firebase.
- **Support diagnostics.** When you use in-app support powered by **Gleap**, Gleap automatically collects your IP address, approximate country, device model, operating system and app version, so we can understand and fix the issue you reported.
- **Platform diagnostics.** If you have chosen to share analytics with your device maker (for example "Share with App Developers" on Apple devices), the platform may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You control this setting in your device settings.
### 4.4 Information we do not collect
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, browsing history or viewing habits. We do not use advertising identifiers to track you.
## 5. How We Use Information
| Purpose | Information used | Legal basis (GDPR) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Providing the App's features | Content and settings on your device | Performance of a contract |
| Unlocking and restoring purchases | Purchase status from the store and RevenueCat | Performance of a contract |
| Answering support requests and fixing bugs | Support messages and diagnostics | Legitimate interest, or consent |
| Keeping the Apps secure and working | App configuration and anonymous diagnostics | Legitimate interest |
| Meeting legal obligations | Only what the law requires | Legal obligation |
## 6. App-Specific Practices
### 6.1 NoteMind and other productivity apps
NoteMind records, transcribes and summarizes conversations, and helps you search and ask questions about them. It is designed so that your recordings never have to leave your Mac.
- **On-device processing.** Transcription uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. Summaries, insights and answers use Apple Intelligence's on-device model when it is available on your Mac, or on-device language analysis when it is not. **Your recordings, transcripts, notes and summaries are not sent to DiscoverAPP's servers or to any third-party AI service.**
- **Local storage.** Your library is stored on your Mac. Locked folders and notes are protected by your Mac's authentication (Touch ID or password) or a PIN you choose.
- **Optional iCloud sync.** If you turn on iCloud sync, your library is stored in **your own private iCloud database** at Apple, under your Apple Account. DiscoverAPP cannot access it. You can turn sync off at any time in Settings.
- **Connected folders.** If you connect a folder (for example from iCloud Drive), NoteMind can only access the folders you chose. It lists their audio and video files and imports the ones you pick.
- **Calendar and Reminders.** NoteMind only adds events or reminders when you explicitly choose to, and only after you grant permission.
- **Sharing and exports.** Recordings, transcripts and summaries leave NoteMind only when you export or share them yourself.
- **Permissions.** NoteMind asks for microphone access to record, and for screen and system audio recording access only if you choose to record your Mac's audio. You can change these permissions at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
- **Purchases.** NoteMind Pro is sold through the Apple App Store. Purchase status is checked with Apple and RevenueCat, as described in Section 4.2.
### 6.2 IPTV and media player apps
Our IPTV and media player apps are players only. **We do not provide, host, sell or distribute any channels, movies, series or other content.** You must use content from providers you are authorized to use.
- **Playlists and credentials.** M3U playlist links, Xtream Codes details, usernames, passwords and server addresses that you enter are stored on your device. They are sent only to the server you specified, so the App can load your content. They are not sent to DiscoverAPP.
- **Favorites, history and settings.** Your favorites, watch history, parental controls, player choice and display preferences are stored on your device.
- **Web versions.** Our web players store your settings and playlists in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- **Third-party content providers.** When you play content, your device connects directly to your content provider, and that provider can see your IP address and the content you request. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
- **Permissions.** These apps may ask for network access to stream content, local network access to find Chromecast or other devices on your network, storage access to save playlists, and, on macOS, screen recording access if you use the recording feature.
### 6.3 Casting apps
Cast to TV and similar apps send photos, videos, music or your screen from your device to a TV or streaming device on your local network.
- **Local network.** The App searches your local network for compatible devices and streams media directly from your device to the TV you choose. Your media is not uploaded to DiscoverAPP's servers.
- **Media access.** The App asks for access to your photos, files or screen only to cast the items you select, and only after you grant permission.
- **Web content.** If you cast a web video, your device and the TV connect to that website, under the website's own terms and privacy policy.
## 7. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in the following cases:
- **Service providers** that help us run the Apps, only for the purposes described in this Policy:
- App stores (Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung, LG) for purchases and app delivery.
- RevenueCat for purchase validation.
- Firebase (Google) for app configuration.
- Gleap for customer support.
- Apple iCloud, only when you turn on iCloud sync in an App that offers it.
- **Legal reasons.** We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order or a valid government request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or DiscoverAPP. Because most data stays on your device, we usually have very little information to disclose.
- **Business transfers.** If DiscoverAPP is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred. Any successor must continue to protect it under this Policy, and we will notify you of the change.
## 8. Data Retention
- **Content on your device** stays until you delete it, clear the App's data or delete the App.
- **iCloud data** stays in your iCloud account until you delete it or turn off sync and remove it from iCloud.
- **Support data** is kept for up to 12 months after your request is resolved, or until you ask us to delete it.
- **Purchase records** are kept by the stores and RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide your purchases and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
## 9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted HTTPS connections, the operating system's secure storage (such as the Keychain) for sensitive values, and the sandboxing and permission systems of each platform. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please also protect your devices with a passcode and keep your account credentials safe.
## 10. International Transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. When personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
## 11. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13, or under 16 where local law requires a higher age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
## 12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time.
- **On your device.** You can delete content inside each App, clear its data, or delete the App.
- **Permissions.** You can change permissions at any time in your device settings.
- **Requests to us.** Email **info@discoverapp.store**. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity.
**European Union, United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR).** You have the rights listed above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
**California (CCPA / CPRA).** You have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and you will not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
**Türkiye (KVKK).** You may use your rights under Article 11 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data by contacting us at the address below.
## 13. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Apps may link to, or let you connect to, third-party websites, content providers and services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies.
## 14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last Updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we will also notify you in the Apps or on our website before they take effect.
